Welcome to the
Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christine! Thank you for bringing us your question! I'm so excited to hear that you will be going on your very first trip to
Walt Disney World! Do not worry, we are hEAR to help!
The fact that check-in time is at 3:00 pm does not mean the fun has to wait! First off, if you have
theme park tickets for your first day, you can drop off your luggage with Bell Services for them to store it until check-in time and in the meantime you and your granddaughter can head over to the Parks! When your room is read, you will receive a text message and/or email, and at point, you may decide to go back to your Resort or stay at the theme parks as late as you would like to.
If you do not have theme park tickets for your first day, you may visit
Disney Springs and have lunch there, and potentially do some shopping. The atmosphere is so vibrant, you will love it there and will not want to leave. Something else you can do is hop on the resort monorail and visit the iconic
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort,
Disney's Contemporary Resort, and
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You will absolutely love touring them and may want to eat dinner at one of their delightful
table-service restaurants.
Be sure to visit
this guide with great tips for grandparents and grandchildren vacationing at the Walt Disney World Resort! My children love it when the grandparents come along. Oh, what great memories lie ahead of you both!
I hope this information is helpful. I cannot wait to see you again on the panel with more questions, Christine! We are happy to help you make your vacation with your granddaughter as magical as it can be.
See you real soon,
~Desiree
