How ya doin' Debbie and welcome to planDisney!
Birthday parties are such a brilliant way to celebrate the very existence of the people we love. The gift of a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is definitely a wish worth blowing out the candles for. A very merry unbirthday to your grandbaby as you prepare for the real thing. It's so lovely that all these months ahead of time you're already reaching out to figure out what can be done to add extra pixie dust to her special day.
I'd like to start you off with a few personal tips that I know made my goddaughter's fifth birthday at Magic Kingdom Park one of the highlights of both of our lives.
1. Dress the princess up super cute! Baby girl can pop into
Sir Mickey's to purchase a replica of her favorite princess's signature look. Or, like my goddaughter, she could rock a handmade tutu and personalized 5th birthday shirt complete with glittery shoes and Minnie ears. No matter her style, a fabulous frock will boost her visibility with Cast Members and Characters alike.
2. Grab a Happy Birthday button for her along with I'm Celebrating buttons for the rest of your travel party from City Hall, the Front Desk of your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, or just about any merchandise location you see. They're complimentary and Cast Members have a special knack for spotting those buttons easily. I know we've been blessed with an unfathomable amount of pixie dust off the strength of those buttons alone.
Now when you're booking your
Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days prior to your arrival date, I would definitely recommend booking a Character Dining experience.
The Crystal Palace will see the return of our favorite friends from the Hundred-Acre Wood next month. And while we're waiting on word on the return of our princess pals at
Cinderella's Royal Table, it's still an extra special treat to have breakfast inside Cinderella Castle. And Cinderella herself is currently meeting and taking pictures with Guests. Plus, both of these beloved dining locations have the option of
ordering a special cake for the birthday princess. While we're on the subject of princesses, make sure to visit
Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland to see the royal ladies there. I'm sure they would love to see your girl on her birthday!
Debbie, I hope I've given you some ideas to make more magic for your granddaughter. If you have any other questions, please
come back for another chat. It's not every day a girl turns 5 and I'm more than happy to help!
Happy planning!
