Hello Claire, and thanks so very much for bringing such an important question to me here at planDisney!
In my own personal experience of visiting the most magical place on earth with members of my family who have a non-visible, or
Cognitive Disability, I've truly found that all the many
Services for Guests with Disabilities at Walt Disney World Resort are incredible. Plus, the added benefit of the Disability Access Service (DAS) for my family has meant that we can enjoy all the magic - together.
The convenience of being able to pre-register for the Disability Access Service (DAS) via video chat with Cast Members is a fairly recent offering for Guests, and one which I understand has been super successful! As this is a new addition, I had to undertake a little research on your behalf Claire, and I'm happy to share that unfortunately at this time pre-registration via video chat is not currently available for Guests residing in the United Kingdom.
I understand that this might not quite be the news you were hoping to hEAR. However, I do have some good news to share! All Guests will still have the option to register for the Disability Access Service (DAS) at
Guest Relations upon entering a Disney Theme Park, and that the DAS provided will be good for your whole jolly holiday to Walt Disney World Resort!
Additionally, if you should have any further specific questions concerning visiting Walt Disney World Resort with a disability then it's always possible to email Cast Members:
disability.services@disneyparks.comClaire, I hope that I've been able to answer your question today. If you should have any further questions for me regarding your August 2022 plans to holiday at Walt Disney World Resort, then please do pop back any time to
me here at planDisney.Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
