Good evening I am going to be at Epcot on October 13 and 14 for the Food and wine festival (First time) would you recommend I make dining reservations at the usual restaurants or would you recommend we eat from the special food booths available as we go ?

    Hi Kahtan,

Thanks for your excellent question about the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which is my favorite special event of the year at Walt Disney World. My family never makes advanced dining reservations during the festival. Instead, we eat our way through the more than 30 global marketplaces

I recommend taking a look at the menus from the kiosks in advance to figure out which items sound the most appealing. We make one circuit at lunchtime, starting on the Canada side of the World Showcase. Then we hit the Festival Center mid-afternoon for a little shopping and to check out demonstrations or seminars. We make a second circuit of the marketplaces for dinner, this time starting at the Mexico side.

Even though most of the tastes are fairly small, it's amazing how fast you can get full. That's why we make it an all-day dining event.

I like to decide in advance how much we are going to spend on our tastes and sips and put that amount on one of the special Food & Wine gift card bracelets available at any Epcot gift shop. That makes it easy to keep track of the cost.

You might also want to check out the Tasting Sampler, a prepaid voucher for either eight or 16 food or beverage items.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Have a delicious visit to Food & Wine!
