Well hello there, Jana. Welcome to planDisney. It's always nice to make a new friend!
When booking a vacation package (
theme park tickets and Disney Resorts Collection Hotel room reservation booked together) to the
Walt Disney World Resort, all Guests staying in the room need to have the same theme park tickets and, if also booked as part of the vacation package,
dining plan. So, if you add another Guest, they would have to have the same theme park tickets and dining plan as you.
If you decide this is something you'd like to do, you can usually do so by signing into your
My Disney Experience account and selecting "My Plans" from the My Disney Experience menu. Then, scroll down until you find your reservation and there should be an option to "Change Reservation." Once you've clicked that blue button, you should then see a "Change" link next to your travel party. Click that link and follow the prompts to add your Guest. If you encounter any difficulties,
contact a friendly Cast Member at the resort to help you. Also, make sure that you've checked the
Terms and Conditions page to see if any change fees would be involved in modifying your reservation. If you purchased your vacation package from a third-party vendor, you would likely have to contact them to make these modifications.
While my first time visiting the Walt Disney World Resort was in middle school, I
really fell in love when I visited with my friend Kim and my husband while he was attending a conference at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. While he was working hard at the conference, we were running around and having the best time at the parks. Well, you know what they say, while the cat's away, the Mickey and Minnie Mice will play! But don't worry, he joined us for a great day in
EPCOT, and trust me, he's been plenty of times since and has gotten to enjoy all aspects of the resort! And now that
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has entered the EPCOT scene, he can't get enough!
Jana, I hope that you have a productive and rewarding conference experience and that you get plenty of time to enjoy yourself in the theme parks as well! If you have any other questions,
please don't hesitate to reach out directly to me.
All you need is a little bit of magic,
Matt
