Good Evening, I am trying to plan a 5 day trip, staying in the Port of Orleans hotel, myself with my husband, 3 children, and their 2 grandparents. I am having difficulty figuring out how to do so? It says too many people, we want 2 rooms how can we book?

    Hi Kimberly, welcome to planDisney!

Whether you choose Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter or Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, you are certain to have a lovely vacation at Walt Disney World!  I have so many wonderful vacation memories from these resort hotels.  I especially like the convenience of taking a water taxi down the Sassagoula River to Disney Springs.

When making a Walt Disney World Resort reservation, you can reserve one resort hotel room per reservation.  Since your travel party exceeds the capacity of a guest room at Disney's Port Orleans Resort, you will need to make two reservations.  You can certainly make both reservations online but if you prefer, you can also contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations for assistance.  If you decide to make the two reservations online, I would recommend you contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations with your confirmation numbers and let them know you would like to link the two reservations together.  That way, when room assignments are made, a Disney Cast Member will assign your rooms as close together as possible.  If you'd like, you can request adjoining rooms.  Although not guaranteed, Disney Cast Members will do what they can to accommodate the request.

I'm not able to determine by your question if you are planning on staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter or Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.  If you were hoping to get your immediate family in one room and the grandparents in a second room, then I would recommend Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.  In addition to two queen beds, some of the rooms at this resort hotel are also equipped with a child-size pull-down bed.  Depending on the ages of your children, this might work well for you.

Kimberly, I hope you find this information helpful.  Please let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with as you continue to plan your magical Walt Disney World vacation!
