Hi, Jamie! I’m delighted to see you again as you prepare for your holiday at sea.
Very Merrytime Cruises are my favorite way to celebrate the holidays. The ships are beautifully decorated–even
Disney Castaway Cay features a larger-than-life tree. I’m also on this sailing, and I’m especially looking forward to enjoying a traditional Thanksgiving meal without the cleanup! I'd love to share with you the different themed nights.
Evan pirates like to celebrate the holidays when cruising the Caribbean! On Wednesday,
pirates take over the ship looking for treasure. It's the perfect time to pack your buccaneer best. From crafts to trivia, there’s enough to keep any scallywag busy. Weather permitting, swing by the upper decks in the evening for an outstanding fireworks show.
Thursday is an optional “dress up” night. This is when you will see guests dressed in formal or semi-formal attire. The
Dress Code is just a suggestion, so please dress how you see fit. Since it’s also
Thanksgiving Day, look for special Character meet and greets and themed activities. If you are traveling with a football fan, don't worry, the ship will try to broadcast the big game.
The remaining evenings are listed as "cruise casual” attire. While not exactly a themed night, many guests bring matching pajamas or sweaters to take a family picture in front of the sparkling Christmas tree. Disney photographs are on hand to capture these special moments. They even offer a few Magic Shots for the holidays.
Jamie, you’ll be among the first guests to experience the new
Fort Lauderdale terminal! Disney Cruise Line recommends two hotels: Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina and B Ocean Resort.
A Disney Cruise Line specialist can add a hotel stay and transportation to your reservation.
I'm grateful you trust planDisney with your questions. I hope your cruise is filled with merry memories.
SEAS the adventure!
