Casey from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Good evening! I would like to reserve a table for Thanksgiving at Blue Bayou. The earliest date to reserve is 9/27. What's the earliest time I can hop on the app and reserve. I'm in California. Thank you!

Hello there, Casey. Welcome to planDisney. Is there anything that could be more magical than a dining reservation at the Blue Bayou on Thanksgiving? That’s the dream, and I will now be living vicariously through you! We need to get you that reservation!

First of all, you’re on the right track. September 27th is 60 days before Thanksgiving, and the time reservations are usually released is 6:00 AM Pacific Standard Time, emphasis on “usually.” More on that in a minute. Let’s prepare! Update your app and do a dress rehearsal reservation, so you can see where all the buttons are and how the controls function. Just don’t actually make a reservation on your dress rehearsal. Then set your alarm early so you can sign in and be ready to press the button as the clock strikes 6:00 AM PST.

Be prepared for bad news or only okay news. Holidays like Thanksgiving tend to be the absolute hardest to get reservations for. You may sign in and still not be able to grab one. That would be the bad news. Sometimes, holiday reservations aren’t rolled out immediately. That means you can keep checking back each morning with the hope that the holiday reservations are released. This is probably not the news you wanted, since it may mean you have to keep waking up each morning until they’re released. My thoughts are with you!

Casey, whether you get the reservation of your dreams or not, the Disneyland Resort will deliver the magic on your visit. The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will be in full swing. “Snow” after Believe… In Holiday Magic, Santa at the end of A Christmas Fantasy Parade, wintry decorations, characters in holiday costumes, magical attraction overlays, and treats, treats, treats! It’s magic overload. Don’t miss the Mickey gingerbread - it’s not the holidays without one.

I hope your trip is full of magic and memories. If you have more questions or need more tips, come right back to planDisney. We’ll be happy to help.

I hope you have a magical day!
