Hey there, Ian. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question. How exciting you and your fiance will be vacationing at Walt Disney World this summer! It's one of my favorite times to visit. The weather is picture perfect but can be hot which is perfect for a day at
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park which is reopening in March this year.
Because of the current circumstances, the selling of new
annual passes has been temporarily suspended. That's why you are unable to locate any information on the website. Currently, Guests with annual passes that expired during the shutdown or guests that opted for a refund on their passes are the only ones with the opportunity to repurchase. However, I do think the annual pass program will open back up to all Guests soon - at least I hope. I've been an annual passholder for years and it really is a great deal. Perks like complimentary parking at the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks, discounted food and merchandise and discounts on
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel stays throughout the year are just a few of my favorite benefits of the program.
For your trip in July, you can purchase a
standard theme park ticket or a standard theme park ticket with the park hopper option. The standard theme park ticket allows entry to one park per day with a park pass reservation. A park hopper ticket allows you to enter multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day - subject to availability. I am so thrilled that
park hopping has officially returned to Walt Disney World. I missed it so much. I do want to mention that, currently, it does look a bit different.
Here's how it's working at this time:
- Guests wishing to park hop need valid theme park admission with a park pass reservation for the first park they wish to visit that day
- Guests need to scan in and enter that specific theme park
- At 2:00 p.m. Guests are able to park hop subject to theme park availability
- Guests are not required to make more theme park reservations for the same day of park hopping after the initial selection
I'm sorry that I don't have better news about becoming Annual Passholders right now, Ian. I do suggest keeping your fingers crossed and an eye on the Disney Parks Blog between now and your trip. You never know, there may be a magical announcement coming in the next few months. If you have any other questions before your trip, I'd love to help out. Have fun planning!
