An early summer trip to Walt Disney World sounds super swell to me, Samantha! Let’s get you going in the right direction.
First things first: it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the
health and safety guidelines currently in place. Guests need both valid theme park admission and a theme park reservation to gain admittance at a park’s entry. I want to be sure you know before you go.
I’m glad to hear that you’re researching discounts. Walt Disney World shares active promotions on the
Special Offers page of their website. These offers can help Guests save on both hotel stays within the
Disney Resorts Collection and theme park tickets. I’m not seeing a current discount geared specifically towards first responders or teachers. These discounts are frequently updated, though, so keep an eye out for any changes.
Though not part of the Disney Resorts Collection, the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel both offer special rates for nurses, doctors, firefighters, paramedics and medical personnel as well as teachers and school support staff. To inquire about rates and availability, dial (407) 939-7429 and mention the “nurse’s rate” or the “teachers rate.”
Once you have those rates quoted, I'd encourage you to hop back over to the Special Offers page and see if a stay in one of the hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection is comparably priced. Even though these savings aren't exclusive to first responders or teachers, they may represent as good or better a deal than you might find elsewhere and they come with the perk of being able to stay in the magic during your entire stay.
Lastly, Samantha, be sure to check out the
Taste of Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival during your trip this summer. Beauty blooms around every corner during this festival. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
