Hey Howdy Hey Diane and welcome back to planDisney!
With the start of the new year in 2022, the
Walt Disney World Resort community had a lot that we were looking forward to and yet some things we had to say goodbye to. One of the big things we lost this year was Disney's Magical Express option that took us from the Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World. As we all continue to find our way back and forth, many companies have stepped up to fill this gap. Thank you for your question on these specifics, let's get into some options for you.
One of the bigger companies that worked with Disney to set up Disney's Magical Express was MEARS. They now offer MEARS Connect, which is a very similar experience but now a paid option to get from the airport to and from Disney World. There are also other companies such as Away We Go or The Sunshine Flyer that you can arrange transportation with as well. You also have options such as taxis and rideshares such as Uber or Lyft that are available as well you can look into.
Another option you can keep an eye on is
Disney's Minnie Van Service. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, you could book these vehicles for transportation to and from the airport as well. This summer, they have resumed operations around Walt Disney World Resort, just not to the airport. I would look into the various options listed above and use this as potential if the Minnie Vans do resume operations to and from the airport. You are more than able to use this option when you arrive at Walt Disney World to make getting around a lot easier. You can select this option from your Lyft app and ride in style quickly from one location to the next!
Best of luck moving forward with planning the details of your next trip. Please feel free to reach out and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
