Good evening! We would like to bring our RV to Disney however my daughter, who is autistic, does not wish to stay on the campgrounds. Where else can we park and live in our RV at Disney? Hee favorite resort is the Grand Floridian.

    Hiya, Michelle! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy, I'm thrilled to hear that you're making plans to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth in early February! You're sure to find magic around every corner with the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration in full swing (before it prepares to end on March 31, 2023). But before we can get you standing in front of Cinderella Castle, we have to make sure that we find just the right accommodations for you and your family!

Michelle, after speaking with a Cast Member, the location that will be able to accommodate living in an RV while at Walt Disney World Resort will be Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Here, you'll be able to secure a campsite that will be large enough for your RV while also providing water, cable television and electrical hook-ups, and a hook-up for sewage. In fact, my husband and I love this location so much that we often can be found bringing a pop-up tent and camping at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! We enjoy relaxing under towering pines, feasting at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, and roasting marshmallows at Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long

However, it sounds like Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground isn't what your family is hoping for this time around, especially when taking into consideration your daughter's needs. One of the things I appreciate most about Walt Disney World Resort is how it always does its best to accommodate every Guest. My best piece of advice would be to call the team at Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com. They will be happy to listen and provide some suggestions and next steps for your family to the best of their ability. I would also recommend taking some time to see the other Services for Guests with Disabilities provided by Walt Disney World Resort!

I hope I was able to point you in the right direction today! If you have any other questions, please visit us again. After all, you've got a friend in me!
