Hi Alysia, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
My husband and I had the exact same doubt when we started planning and especially
budgeting for our Disneymoon and the menus for the Walt Disney World Resort restaurants were extremely useful sources to help us plan for meals and come up with a good budget.
We also based our estimates on our eating habits, as the plates served at the Walt Disney World Resort restaurants are fairly generous. We shared Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwiches at the
Sleepy Hollow at Magic Kingdom Park for breakfast and the delicious Mrouzia-style Moroccan Lamb Tagine from
Jiko - The Cooking Place, at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Fajita Platter at
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe can also easily be shared by two adults if combined with some Tortilla Chips and the great offerings on the toppings bar.
Because we're not huge eaters, we usually order two bowls of the Maine Lobster Bisque at
The BOATHOUSE, at Disney Springs. This choice is not only delicious and light, but it is also much more cost effective than other options on that menu.
To find the menus for all of the restaurants you wish to visit on your vacation, you simply have to visit their specific webpages through
this list (or a regular Google search). Once you're at a
restaurant webpage, click on the View Menu option, displayed on the right side of the page, right under the information about the acceptance of Dining Plans.
I hope this helps you plan your budget for this vacation and decide whether the
Dining Plans are a good option or not. If you want further assistance to make that choice, please, come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We will be here to guide you all the way!
May the magic be with you,
Julie
