Hello, Chris, and welcome to planDisney! A trip to the Disneyland Resort to celebrate your tenth wedding anniversary sounds enchanting! And a birthday, too? I can't think of a more perfect place to go for these special occasions.
Chris, the Disneyland Resort doesn't offer in-park wedding photo sessions, but there is something like that offered at Walt Disney World. It's exclusively available to couples who host a wedding or vow renewal through
Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings at any of the Disney Wedding Venues. If you were to have a vow renewal at the Disneyland Resort, for example, you could
book a portrait session at Walt Disney World at a later date. You can
contact the wedding team for a consultation about a vow renewal ceremony if you're curious to learn more!
Outside of that, you should definitely look into the
Disney PhotoPass service, Chris! There are PhotoPass locations throughout the Resort where photographers are ready to capture magical moments against iconic backdrops, like Sleeping Beauty Castle, or with beloved characters, like Mickey Mouse. I would avoid wearing wedding attire in the park, though. The
Disneyland Park Rules and Attire Policies state that clothing that drags on the ground is prohibited in theme parks, and that admission may be denied to any person wearing attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests.
Here's a tip: if you purchase the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you'll get unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from your day, on top of being able to access shorter queues at popular attractions. You know what would be cute – purchase bride and groom ears in the park and wear them during your visit and in photos!
I have a few other ideas that will add pixie dust to your trip and make it extra memorable:
- Grab a complimentary button at the start of the day! There is a "Happily Ever After" button, an "I'm Celebrating" button, and a birthday button. Many retail locations and City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. have them.
- Once the sun goes down, cruise under the canopy of lights on the Storybook Land Canal Boats. It's very romantic.
- Get a reservation for a table service restaurant, like Blue Bayou or Lamplight Lounge. Start looking for reservations 60 days in advance for the best chance at securing a table at the most popular spots. There are some locations where you can even pre-order a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake! It's almost too pretty to eat.
- Consider a dining package for certain nighttime spectaculars. You'll get a nice meal and reserved seating for the corresponding show.
Chris, pixie dust is in the air! I'd like to wish you an early happy anniversary. The
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will continue through summer 2026, so get ready to "Celebrate Happy" during your visit. If you have any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Wishing you magic,
Kriss
