Good day to you, Adam! Thank you for cruising back to us at planDisney.
I'm so happy to hear that you'll be sailing on your third Disney Cruise this coming spring! I'd love to assist you as you make plans for your upcoming adventures.
Those adventures clearly include time spent on
Disney's Castaway Cay! I'm not sure what changes may take place between now and your sailing, but I can let you know the current protocols surrounding the Castaway Cay 5K Race. The group race has been temporarily paused, however it is still possible to run the course on your own at Castaway Cay. Finishing medallions are given to all participants of the 5K and the information about when and where to pick up your medal will be provided once onboard the ship within the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
My fingers are crossed that by the time you set sail in April, the Castaway Cay 5K will officially be a group race again. We might be totally fueled by soft-serve ice cream, but it's a family tradition to start our day in this tropical paradise with a run before we enjoy the beach. To stay up to date with current race protocols, visit the
Guide to Updated Experiences page on the
Disney Cruise Line Website. There is a section under the heading "Ports of Call" that addresses the Castaway Cay 5K race and what to expect on the island.
If you like to be on the move while visiting Disney's private island, I'd love to recommend renting a bicycle for a scenic bike ride. The snorkeling on Castaway Cay is great too! Follow the white buoys to be guided to some hidden treasure under the sea.
Have an incredible voyage and please sail our way again if you have more questions! My pals and I are always happy to help.
You can go the distance,
Adrianna
