From all of us at planDisney, we wish you a warm welcome, Kris!
We're so happy to see you here and thanks for bringing your question to us. Oh boy, it sounds like you've got a family vacation planned to the Disneyland Resort coming up soon! Will you be staying for multiple days? If you are, you're going to be in for a treat, because the
Disney Parks Blog recently announced that the official start of the
Holiday Season at the Disneyland Resort will be November 10, 2023!
In response to your question, yes, it is very possible to manage your entire family's accounts within one smartphone device. You will need to have downloaded the official
Disneyland Mobile App and linked everyone's ticket to your account first. Once you've opened the app, head over to the "☰" Features Menu and scroll down until you see "Link to Account." Press that button and on the next screen, you will be able to use your phone's camera to scan your family's tickets in order to link them to your account. You are also able to link tickets through your web browser in the
Disneyland website. Hover your cursor over "My Disneyland" and select "Link Tickets" from the pull-down menu. You'll have to manually enter all the ticket numbers with this method, however.
Now that everyone's tickets are linked to your account, you will be able to select and book
Lightning Lanes for everyone in your group or only select individuals once you enter the Parks (each time you book a Lightning Lane, you will be given the option to confirm your entire group or only certain ones).
For your MagicBands, please note that only the MagicBand+ is supported by the Disneyland Resort at this time. Once all the tickets have been linked to your phone, you may then proceed to link each MagicBand+ to its respective ticket (just be sure to remember who gets which Band!). Each MagicBand+ may only be linked to one account and one ticket at a time, so please keep that in mind. You'll find all MagicBand+ controls also in the Disneyland Mobile App within the Features Menu, including linking options.
Kris, I hope that this answer was helpful for you as you plan your family's vacation. Don't forget to book those all important dining reservations when you are 60 days out from your trip, which is coming up! If there is anything else that we at planDisney can do for you, please feel free to write to us anytime! You're always welcome here. Until next time!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
