Hey, howdy, hey, Richard! Thanks for saddling up and moseying over to planDisney!
Richard, a surprise vacation is sure to have your family smiling wider than Bullseye when he first meets Woody and I am honored to help guide you in the right direction.
First, let’s talk about booking your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Since you’d like to secure four rooms together, I recommend
calling (407) 939-1936 to speak with a Cast Member as there are limitations on booking those through the website. Lately when I have called in, I have had to wait on hold a bit, so make sure to call when you have time to work around your house or relax while you wait. Since you’ll be calling, I encourage you to have your travel dates and ideal resort (
and a second choice) ready to book.
Richard, there are not currently any
special offers available for members of the Canadian Military or veterans, however I urge you to reach out to your local base or veterans affairs office as they may have options we don’t have access to here at planDisney. I recommend doing this prior to booking your vacation package.
Richard, once you’ve galloped through the first few steps, you’ll likely be hungry enough to eat a horse…
ER- don’t tell Bullseye I said that! So, let’s talk about dining around the Walt Disney World Resort. Currently as the Walt Disney World Resort is focused on enhanced health and safety measures as part of the phased reopening,
the Disney Dining Plan is on pause. We haven’t gotten word
when or if this prepaid meal plan will return, but keep your eyes on the
Disney Parks Blog as announcements will be posted there first.
In the meantime, if you’d like to budget for your meals, purchasing
Disney Gift Cards is a great way to have a similar feeling until we hear more about the future of the Disney Dining Plan. It’s also important to note that should the Disney Dining Plan return before your vacation, you would be welcome to add it to your vacation package and you can even
pay for your vacation with a Disney Gift Card.
Finally, Richard, as you’re planning for 2022, you are likely wondering how best to get from the Orlando International Airport to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel and back. Please take a look at
this question and answer about transportation to and from the airport. Once you've arrived at your resort, you can kick back and let Mickey take care of the driving, because
complimentary transportation to and from the theme parks is available from EVERY Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
Richard, I hope this puts you on the road to your vacation dreams and I would love to answer any additional questions you might have. As you continue your planning journey, just think about my pal Woody when he said,
“Reach for the Sky!”
So long, partner,
Lauren
