Ahoy Roger!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to hear you'll be sailing on the
Disney Fantasy very soon! The Disney Fantasy was the first cruise ship I ever sailed on and it's where I fell in love with
Disney Cruise Line vacations. If you haven't already done so, you'll want to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App before departing. This handy Mousketool can be used free of charge while on your cruise and is where you can find important information such as entertainment schedules, activities, character meetings, dining menus, and much more!
Roger, a day at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park sounds like the perfect way to squeeze one more day of fun in the sun to your already magical vacation. While you will find
lockers available for rent, unfortunately, luggage storage is not available at Typhoon Lagoon. Additionally, only registered Guests of
Disney Resorts Collection hotels can store luggage at
Bell Services of their hotels. While I know this isn't the news you were hoping to hear, I can offer a few suggestions.
The first suggestion is to search online for luggage storage that may be available at Orlando International Airport. If you choose this option, you could purchase
Disney Cruise Line ground transportation (or utilize a rideshare service) to the airport, store your luggage, and then take a rideshare to Typhoon Lagoon. With this option, it's important to note that
ground transfers are subject to availability and must be added at least three days before your sailing date.
Another option you could look into is a
one-way car rental from Port Canaveral to Orlando International Airport - with a pit stop at Typhoon Lagoon of course! In my experience, I have found that most of the car rental companies located at the port offer a shuttle van from the ship to their facility. Once you have your rental car, you can store your luggage for the day in it and head straight to Typhoon Lagoon.
Parking is complimentary at Disney's water parks so you won't have any extra fees to worry about once on Disney property. If you choose this option, I'd recommend looking into the
Express Walk-Off available during debarkation. This means that you would hold onto all of your luggage and be among the first allowed to leave the ship.
Roger, I hope this information is helpful and that you have the chance to enjoy a beautiful day at Typhoon Lagoon to end your vacation. I can't leave without also recommending that you stop by
Happy Landings Ice Cream for a Sand Pail Sundae while you're there - it's delicious! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
Happy Sailing!
