Good day to you all. My family and I are going to Disney in a couple of weeks. My question is relating to the DJI OM5. As it has telescopic features but is technically a gimbal, will I be refused entry because it can extend?

Hi there, Marc! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for stopping by to see us! I have answered a question about the DJI gimbal in the past and learned a lot about them before, so I’m so glad I saw your question this time around! While it seems like a handy tool, these items are not allowed on Walt Disney World property. This is outlined within the Walt Disney World property rules, where you will find that selfie sticks, handheld extension poles for cameras, and mobile devices are not allowed in any Theme Park or Water Park. So while you’re able to take any photos you desire with your own equipment, there are undoubtedly other options at your disposal!

Marc, I suggest that you check out Disney Memory Maker for your next Walt Disney World vacation! It will allow you to have your choice of amazing photos taken by the fantastic Disney Photopass Photographers and have access to all the PhotoPass media available in and around the Theme Parks!

Please know that we are here for you every step of the way, Marc! Please do not hesitate to come back and see us again anytime we can help!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Clara
