Good afternoon. With online check-in and MDE, can you skip the check-in and head straight to your room?

    Hi Rich!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The online check-in process, along with early delivery of Magic Bands is intended to allow guests to skip the front desk and go directly to their rooms when they are ready.  I have used the new process three times.  Twice it worked perfectly.  I was alerted when my room was ready and what the room number was via text message.  I had actually gone straight to a park from the airport, but was able to get right into my room using my Magic Band at the end of the evening.

The third time, I never received a text with my room information, so I just stopped by the desk upon arrival at my resort and did it the old-fashioned way=)   I should have received a text, but for some reason the computer did not send it out.  It was not a big deal at all.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
