Good Afternoon, How do i look into upgrading dining plans to existing bookings please. I am interested in what additional costs would be. Thank you Kind regards Jon

    Hey Jonathan,

Welcome to planDisney! Your trip to the magic is coming up very soon, and what a great decision you’ve made to add a Dining Plan to your reservation. These plans allow guests to prepay for their meals, making them great for those who want to make their Walt Disney World Resort vacation feel more inclusive.

While the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan provides guests with 2 quick-service meals and 1 snack or non-alcoholic beverage per resort night along with your resort-refillable mug, the Disney Dining Plan offers 1 Quick-Service meal, 1 Table-Service meal, 1 snack or non-alcoholic beverage and one resort mug per night. With both plans, adult meals include one alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage each. The Disney Dining Plan is a fantastic option for guests who enjoy great table-service dining throughout the resort and who like to take a moment to savor a few meals throughout their stay, It is also a spectacular deal this year because in 2026 kids aged 3-9 eat free on either plan! If you’ll have little ones joining you, prepare to save on their dining.

I’m happy to report that you absolutely can upgrade from the Quick-Service Dining Plan to the Disney Dining Plan easily in your My Disney Experience account. I’d recommend doing this on the website. Once you’ve logged in, click My Plans, then scroll down to the details of your stay. Click Change Reservation, then scroll down to Dining Plan and click Change on the right. You should then be able to upgrade to the Disney Dining plan and current pricing will be prominent on that page.

Jonathan, once you change your plan I would suggest heading to whichever calendar app you use and marking February 2 as the start of your dining reservation window. At 60 days prior to your arrival date, you’re able to book table-service reservations and I highly suggest you do this so you’re not winging it when you arrive because table-service reservations fill up quickly. Give some thought to which of the many table-service dining locations you’d like to use your plan at. A few of my most favorite table-service locations are Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs and ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

I hope this is helpful, Jonathan. You really have made a smart decision with the Disney Dining Plan - upgrading it will just be icing on the cake. Have the best time during your Disney holiday, and don’t hesitate to come back if you need more planning help! See ya real soon!

    Magically yours,
    Sakinah
