Hey there Mallory!
Welcome back to planDisney! Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort since its reopening definitely has a few extra steps to think about. With the necessities of masks and the introduction of vaccines on top of the host of other new experiences and changes, it's hard to keep it all straight. Not to worry, that's where we come in to offer a bit of clarity! At this time Walt Disney World is not requiring vaccination cards to enter the Most Magical Place on Earth. But they are still requiring masks indoors and on all Disney Transportation. Continue to check the
policy as you get closer to your trip as things are subject to change.
As you may have heard Disney's Magical Express Service has rolled for the last time. But there are several great new options for transportation to the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Mears Connect, for one, is carrying passengers to their Disney Destinations. You can find pricing for your travel dates on their website. The location is still in the same spot in Orlando International Airport and my friends who've used the service all say it's the same comfortable ride it's always been.
Now long lines are rough for everyone but I know for a child with Autism, they can be particularly difficult. To make things simpler for your princess, consider looking into the
Disability Access Service. This way y'all can get a return time for attractions she's interested in. The time she would spend in line can be spent doing other things like
trying new snacks or
seeing a show. And the best part is you can preregister in advance!
Mallory so much has changed at the Walt Disney World Resort but one thing that remains the same is the magic at every turn.
Happy planning!
Taylor
