Hi Andrew!
How exciting that you’ll be staying at
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn - one of my favorite Disney resorts! I’m thrilled to hear you’ll be opting for a
Club Level stay – a real treat, and a way to make your Walt Disney World Resort vacation even more memorable. There are currently a few construction projects happening at the resort, but the impact on your upcoming stay in August should be minimal.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is currently in the middle of a refurbishment project, including updates to guest rooms, the lobby, and some exterior areas. The major work on guest rooms is nearing completion. You might hear some construction noise during the day, but it shouldn't significantly disrupt your stay. I’ve personally stayed in several Disney resorts while they were under construction, and I can’t remember any time that the construction caused a negative impact on my Walt Disney World vacation. They go above and beyond to ensure that guests continue to have magical experiences as they update and improve!
The Innkeeper’s Club, Boardwalk Inn’s Concierge Lounge, has recently been refurbished and has now reopened. As Club Level guests, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the new and improved lounge during your stay.
I’m super excited about the new dining venues coming to Disney’s BoardWalk, such as
The Cake Bake Shop and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs (Did somebody say PICKLE Corn Dog?!?). These additions are still under construction but should be completed very soon. I CANNOT WAIT until the grand opening of
The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers. A dining experience centered around sweet treats and deliciousness? Count me in!
Overall, while there is some construction work ongoing, the major disruptions are winding down, and most amenities will be available. It’s a great time to enjoy the newly updated spaces and the beautiful, refreshed
BoardWalk atmosphere. Have a magical stay!
