How do you do, Kelly! Thanks for coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! I'm so excited to see that you'll be visiting
Disney's Beach Club Resort this May! May is a perfect time to take advantage of
Stormalong Bay, the epic sand-bottomed pool at Disney's Beach Club Resort!
Kelly, I also love that you're scoping out what amenities are onsite at your Disney Resort Hotel; I'm a big fan of making the most out of the location you've chosen. Reading your question about the Crescent Solarium, I know exactly what you are referring to! A few years back this space
was used to host an afternoon tea and then more recently a coffee bar popped up. I confirmed with a Cast Member that unfortunately, as of today,
this room is not open for any events or dining experiences. While I too had a twinge of disappointment, I thought about Edna Mode, who said "
I never look back darling. It distracts from the now..." and I'm here to offer up two suggestions.
First, since Disney's Beach Club Resort is a hop, skip and a jump from EPCOT's World Showcase, think about indulging in the
Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room Tea Experience. Located in the United Kingdom Pavilion, this experience is a great way to slow down your touring of EPCOT. However, beware... with the sights and sounds of the United Kingdom all around, you might just feel temporarily transported back across the pond!
If you're looking for something outside of the parks, another great option is to head over to
Disney' Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for the
Afternoon Tea at Garden View Tea Room. Wrapped in Victorian elegance, this is a great way to beat the Florida heat while sipping your worries away. Arrive early or stay late and
enjoy live music in the lobby.
Kelly, however you choose to spend your time, I wish you a pixie-dusted stay! Please stop back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have,
Lauren
