Good afternoon, I have a set of 1st generation “glow with the show”, now called “made with magic” ears. Is there a proper way to clean the outside print? I’m not sure how to proceed without damaging them with harsh chemicals. -Bryant

Hi, Bryant!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

In my opinion, you're not ready to head to the Walt Disney World theme parks until you get your ears on!  My family and I have an extensive collection of mouse-ear hats and headbands.  It's so much fun choosing which ones we will bring along with us on each Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and we usually return home with a few new pairs that we purchased as souvenirs.

If you need to clean your mouse ear hat, you can mix a tablespoon of mild soap in a bowl with one or two cups of warm water.  Once the soap is dissolved, dip a clean washcloth into the water, squeeze out the excess water, and then gently wipe any stained or dirty areas of your hat.  If you have some tough stains on your mouse ear hat, you can try using a toothbrush to gently scrub the stain.  Once your hat is clean, allow it to air dry.

Bryant, if you find that it is time for a new set of ears, you'll find a great selection on the shopDisney website.  Once you're wearing your newly cleaned or newly purchased ears, head on over to the Disney Parks Blog to experience some virtual pixie dust with Disney Magic Moments.  You're sure to be dreaming of your next visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth in no time!  When it comes time to plan that next Walt Disney World Resort vacation, stop by and visit us again.  We would love to help!

    See ya real soon!
