Good Afternoon, Can you please help me better understand the options for meals with Characters. I am travelling with my 4 year old daughter and she is very excited to meet princesses. Do reservations need to be made in advance?

    Hi Joshua,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am happy to help you with Walt Disney World character dining.

Dining with characters is a great way to meet characters without waiting in line. There are many unique locations for character dining. If you click on the link that I provided above, you will see a list of the locations. Choosing any of them will detail the restaurant and the characters who are there. Please do note that character appearances are subject to change at any time.

Since you specifically mention that your daughter is excited to meet princesses, I have two recommendations for you. One is Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom, where you will dine inside of Cinderella Castle while meeting princesses. The other is Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, located in the Norway pavilion at Epcot. Here you can experience storybook dining with the princesses.

I strongly recommend that especially for these princess dining experiences, and in fact for all character dining experiences, that you make reservations. These meals are very popular and can book up quickly. You can reserve online using the links I provided above, or by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463), up to 180 days in advance of your desired dining date. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you can make dining reservations up to 180 days ahead of your check-in date for your whole length of stay, up to 10 days.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Joshua! Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
