Hey friend,
Welcome to planDisney! I understand your apprehension – planning a visit to Walt Disney World can seem daunting, but I promise it isn’t nearly as overwhelming as it seems. With a little time and good planning, you can absolutely plan your visit successfully.
Here’s a step-by-step guide for you to start with.
Essentially, you’ll need to
choose a resort, decide how many
theme park days you want and whether you’ll want to add the
park hopper option, give some thought to extras like the
Disney Dining Plans,
Lightning Lane passes and
Enchanting Extras, and remember to review the
Special Offers page before booking to ensure that you’re getting the best deal available. If you have some flexibility with your travel dates you can really save some cash. Use the Disney World
Ticket Calendar to estimate what crowds might look like during your target dates. Low ticket prices often indicate lower crowds. There’s also a ton of information available in the
3-Step Planning Guide for Families that I think will be helpful for you. It’s a great resource for anyone planning a visit. Finally, before you arrive get familiar with the
My Disney Experience app. This app will help you navigate the resort during your stay and will allow you to do everything from checking attraction wait times to ordering food and purchasing merchandise.
If none of this information is helpful and you still feel overwhelmed, you can always opt to enlist the help of an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. While there’s no official list of providers, these professionals can be found via a simple internet search. Be sure to look for the official “Authorized Disney Vacation Planner” logo as well as their Ear-Marked status (either diamond, platinum, gold, silver or bronze). Most authorized planners will have this information displayed proudly on their homepage.
I hope this information is helpful, and that you’ll be off booking your Disney World vacation in no time no matter how you choose to do it. Planning a stay in the Most Magical Place on Earth is always a good idea, and the earlier you start, the better. If we can be of any further assistance here at planDisney we are happy to help with planning guidance and great suggestions. In the meantime, in the words of our striped friend Tigger, TTFN… ta-ta for now!
