Hi Teresa,
Welcome to planDisney! A spring break utopia awaits you at
Walt Disney World Resort. The weather in April is practically perfect, typically boasting comfortably warm days and light jacket nights. Everything is in bloom, including
The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. Be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the not-yet-released Foodie Guide and other festival offerings.
Non-park days are a must-do for my family and I'm glad to hear you're planning a break during your spring break. I'm happy to report, Teresa, that Mickey tie-dye is currently being offered at
Disney's Contemporary Resort each afternoon, weather permitting. Unlike the poolside activities such as bingo, Disney trivia, and water balloon games, tie-dye is located in the Community Hall at
Bay Lake Tower. Community Hall can be found on the first floor by the lobby, about a five-minute walk in flip-flops from the Contemporary's feature pool. For the cost of a t-shirt, sized Youth Small to Adult XXL, you can make a mess you don't have to clean up and leave with an adorable souvenEAR. Cast Members are there to guide you every step of the way and you will be amazed at the final product. Please note the t-shirts should sit for 24-48 hours before rinsing and they must be washed before wearing.
Other Community Hall offerings include bocce ball, shuffleboard, and a putting green. Other craft items are also available for purchase. Finish off your resort day with a Movie Under the Stars or a viewing of the
Electrical Water Pageant and ask yourself, "Does life get any better than this?!"
Enjoy your spring break travels to
The Most Magical Celebration on Earth and be sure to visit us again at planDisney; we're tie-dying to see you again!
Live life in full bloom,
Jennifer
