Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Barbara. I'm so glad you stopped by! It looks like your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just about to begin. How exciting!
If you have the
Park Hopper Option added to your Theme Park Tickets, you must enter the park where you have a Theme Park Reservation
before "hopping" to another park beginning at 2:00 PM. Even though I know the ins and outs of Park Hopping well, I actually made that mistake last month. I had a Theme Park Reservation for EPCOT, got busy through the day, and forgot to make that my first stop. I went to Magic Kingdom Park later in the evening, and my MagicBand+ wouldn't tap at the entry point because I hadn't yet gone to EPCOT! Ugh - I was so mad at myself!
I'm a big believer in taking time to relax on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so I understand wanting to relax at the pool. To take advantage of the Park Hopper Option and get that Disney Resort hotel downtime in, I recommend heading to the park where you have your Theme Park Reservation first thing in the morning. Then, around noon, head back to your Disney Resort hotel for a dip in the pool and some time in the sun. Once you're feeling well-rested and ready for more pixie-dusted adventures, start to Park Hop!
Be sure to download the
My Disney Experience mobile app before your arrival this weekend. It's magic at your fingertips! You can use the app to view current wait times for attractions,
place mobile food and beverage orders, link
Disney PhotoPass Photos to your My Disney Experience account,
join the virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and more!
I hope this was helpful, Barbara. I'm wishing you a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
