Good afternoon. A group of us are going to be visiting the park in two days. Two of us have magic bands. Do we need to link both bands to the same Disney App, or do we each log in on separate devices?

Hi there, Mary. Thanks for visiting planDisney! I'm so happy to hear that you'll be visiting in just a couple of days. You're in for some real magic with the Holidays at Disneyland!

My husband and I each like to have our MagicBands paired to our own Disney accounts, so we opt to use the Disneyland Mobile Apps on our own phones to do so. However, it is possible to pair several MagicBands in one app, so it is entirely up to you and your travel party's needs as to whether you use one account or two. You will want to make sure that the person managing the MagicBands also has any corresponding theme park tickets loaded into their app. This will allow them to pair the MagicBand to the correct admission ticket! If one of the Guests with a MagicBand is a littler Mouseketeer, an adult will need to manage their band and ticket.

Mary, to ensure that you and your party are set and ready to go, here is how to link a MagicBand+ in the Disneyland Mobile App.  First, log in to your account in the Disneyland Mobile App. From the homescreen, click the three horizontal lines on the bottom right. Scroll down and find the "Account" section and click on MagicBand+. On the next screen, tap the blue plus sign on the top right and follow the prompts to add it. Once it is added, click on it, and it will bring up all the available tickets associated with that Disney account. These are the tickets that can be linked to the MagicBand+. Since I handle all of my family's tickets, I can see many tickets available for linking, including single-day tickets, Magic Keys, and special event tickets. Please note that you can only assign one ticket per MagicBand+ at a time.

I hope this helps, Mary. If you have any other questions or if we need to troubleshoot some more, please visit us again. If you need any help on the go, you are also welcome to visit one of the Guest Relations locations throughout the resort.

    See ya real soon!
