good afternoon i am a florida resident how would i obtain the discounts? when does the discount get applied?

Hi, Sherelle! Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. It's always a pleasure to meet another Floridian who loves Disney!

Sherelle, living in Florida means we get some sweet discounts on vacations to the Walt Disney World Resort. The best way to take advantage of Florida Resident offers is to create a free My Disney Experience account. You can order tickets and make reservations at Disney Resorts Collection hotels right in your account, and your discount will be applied when you book them. Just note that you'll need to provide proof of your Florida residency to activate your tickets. You can do that in person at Guest Relations outside each theme park, or online when you place your order. Then, you're off to the magic!

While you're planning your vacation, be sure to check out planDisney's Panel Extras page. That's where you'll find lots of our favorite hints and tips for visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Wondering which Resort hotel is best for your family? Looking for ideas on where to eat? Need some help on what to pack? We've got all that and more, so take a look!

I hope this helps you plan a truly amazing Walt Disney World vacation, Sherelle. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to come see us again. We're always here to help!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
