Welcome to planDisney, Rebecca! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today.
You're not the first family to run into this predicament, I promise! The best move right now is to keep trying to modify those dining reservations in the
My Disney Experience app to reflect your full party of six. Availability shifts constantly as other guests change plans, and you can modify right up to the day you're dining. Try widening your time window, checking nearby times, or peeking again early in the morning and around the two-hour mark before mealtimes when last-minute cancellations often pop up.
At check-in, you can absolutely ask the host stand if they can add your
3-year-old and 1-year-old to your table. Sometimes they can accommodate on the spot, but it depends on capacity, table configuration, and how busy the restaurant is at that moment. Because restaurants must account for every
body in the building, even if little ones share from your plate or sit in a high chair, it isn't guaranteed that they can add your two little ones to your party at the time of check-in. That's why continuing to modify the existing reservation to six remains your best path to a sure thing.
If you still can't snag six in advance, you can try joining the
Walk-Up List in the app for the location on the day of your meal and explain you're one party; some venues can seat you together if the right table opens. Checking at non-peak dining hours is going to give you the best chance of success! With a little persistence and a sprinkle of timing luck, most families find a way to dine together. You've got this!
Have a magical day, Rebecca!
