Good afternoon My Disney hotel reservation is booked in my maiden name not my married name which is on my passport will this be an issue when checking in (I can do the online checkin prior to travel & bypass the front desk) or when entering parks?

    Royal greetings, Gemma!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for coming to us with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I can't think of a better way to celebrate your Happily Ever After than by visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth! It looks like your special visit as newlyweds is only a couple of short months away - are you counting down the days yet!?

Since the name on your Disney Resort hotel reservation differs from the name on your photo identification, I recommend changing the name on your reservation to ensure a seamless experience during your holiday. You can complete this change quickly and easily by calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone line. The friendly Cast Members there will be happy to assist you with updating the name on your Resort hotel reservation! I also suggest updating the name associated with your My Disney Experience account profile for consistency. You can do this on the Walt Disney World Resort website, hovering over the "My Disney Experience" tab, and selecting your name and "Profile." Next, select "Account Settings" and scroll down to ensure that your name in the "Personal Information" section is up to date. Finally, click "Done."

To take advantage of Direct-to-Room service when you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel, complete your Online Check-In any time ahead of your arrival and be sure to download the My Disney Experience mobile app when you arrive in the United States. As long as your Resort hotel reservation is correctly linked to your Disney account, you will receive a notification in the My Disney Experience mobile app when your room is ready! Then, you can proceed directly to your room and skip the Front Desk. You'll even be able to use the My Disney Experience mobile app to unlock your room's door with your mobile phone!

Gemma, springtime is my favorite time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Did you know that the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be in full bloom during your trip? During your visit, you'll have the chance to snack your way around the Outdoor Kitchens surrounding World Showcase Lagoon. I recommend scoping out the Disney Eats Foodie Guide ahead of your trip to map out your "must-eats!"

I'm wishing you a holiday filled with magical memories, Gemma. If you have any additional planning questions, please stop back by planDisney again anytime. We're here to help make your Walt Disney World Resort vacation a most enchanting experience!

    Warm wishes,
