Good afternoon, my daughter is treated for anxiety disorder and is under investigation for ADHD. Is there any acomodation that WDW has to help her? When she gets very nervous, she gets nauseous and it worries me a little that might disrupt her experience.

    Hi Ana,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! We're so glad you're here.

I'm so glad to report that the Walt Disney World Resort helps provide all guests with the best possible experience for every visit. Not all disabilities are visible; the first thing you can do to help make your visit easier for your party is to register for the Disability Access Service upon arrival at Guest Relations.  This service is designed to be used in conjunction with the FastPass+ program to help reduce your wait in standby lines.

If your daughter is bothered by loud music or noises, you may consider bringing hearing protection with you, as some attractions and shows (including fireworks) can be bothersome to some children.  Being able to "turn down the volume" so to speak can make all the difference to make your visit enjoyable.  We have also had success with things like fidget cubes, fidget spinners, and a backup battery so we can enjoy the Play Disney Parks app while waiting in line. It can provide just enough distraction to make the waits seem not so long.

Ana, I hope your visit is magical! Come see us again with any additional questions.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
