Hi Elisa,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! How exciting to hear that you’ll be heading to the Walt Disney World Resort very soon!
When it comes to
advance dining reservations, guests staying at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels can make their reservations 60 days in advance of their arrival for up to 10 days! So, in your case you would be able to make reservations 60 days in advance of your arrival date at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. After that reservation window, your next windows would open 60 days from each day of the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel reservation since it’s not a part of the Disney Resorts Collection.
While you’re booking, if you aren’t able to secure a specific reservation, no worries! Keep in mind that the Walt Disney World Resort has the
mobile dine walk-up option. Within the
My Disney Experience mobile app, just search for the restaurant you’d like and see if it has the “Join Walk-Up List” button. If so, you’d select that when you’re in close proximity to the restaurant and you’d be able to join the list (subject to availability)! I love this option and have scored reservations at
‘Ohana multiple times by using it.
Also remember that cancellations happen, so keep checking the dining reservation options if there’s a specific one you don’t get 60 days in advance!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your epic Walt Disney World vacation. If you have any other planning or vacation questions before you travel,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
