Hello there, gonna stay at the Port Orleans French Quarter hotel and would love to explore a bit around and have fun by going on the SkyLiner. Any suggestion for the most convenient way to get on it close to my hotel?

Hi there, Neta, and welcome to planDisney!

I am beyond excited to help you create a game plan for your upcoming vacation. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotels! The lively-yet-relaxing ambience is just what you need on a vacation getaway. Great choice!

I love that you’re an Adventurer and like exploring your surroundings. Let me tell you, the Disney Skyliner is one of the best ways to find memorable treasures!

From your hotel, there are a few ways you can take flight on the Disney Skyliner gondolas:

Option #1 (The quicker route): Take bus transportation from your hotel to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and hop on the gondolas from its Disney Skyliner station.

Option #2 (The scenic route): Take bus transportation from your hotel to EPCOT, explore this festive theme park (with valid park ticket and park reservation), and hop on the gondolas at the EPCOT International Gateway near the France Pavilion in the World Showcase when you’re ready.

Option #3 (The ultimate adventure!): Take the Sassagoula River Cruise from your hotel to Disney Springs, explore the sights and sounds there (you can even take a helium-filled balloon ride!), then take its bus transportation to explore the various Disney Skyliner stops (see the above options and the hotels listed below).

AN EXTRA GEM: Enjoying the Sassagoula River Cruise is a must-do when staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort. During a recent stay at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort– French Quarter, this journey up and down the Sassagoula River was one of my vacation highlights! The route will take you to the vibrant Disney Springs, the home of some of the best dining and shopping on Disney property!

If you fall in love with the Disney Skyliner in April, consider staying at the Disney BoardWalk hotels, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation, or Disney’s Pop Century Resort for your future visits! They all have or are near Disney Skyliner stations.

I hope that you have so much fun! If you have any further questions, just give us a holler here at planDisney!

    Magic always,
