Bright Suns Kate!
Welcome back to planDisney. I’m excited to hear that you will soon be traveling to a galaxy “not” so far away.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is a fan’s dream come true. As soon as you set foot into this land, you will feel like you're on the planet Batuu. Let’s see what we can do to help make your daughter’s birthday even more magical during your visit.
As of right now, this land is set many years after Star Wars: Rebels. This means that you won’t find any of the characters from the show roaming the land. I was just there last month, though, and did see some merchandise, such as plush Loath Cats and a few shirts featuring characters like Chopper. The exciting news, though, is that Disneyland recently re-themed parts of this land to different time periods, including one set during the Rebels. Although we do not know whether or when that will be done for us here in Walt Disney World, I’m hopeful it will. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will have a new mission starting this month featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu. I noticed that the Zeb from Rebels will play a prominent role in the movie, which will hopefully mean you can find some merchandise featuring him soon. At
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, you will find lightsabers from various characters. I was able to purchase Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridgers previously, so they might be great souvenirs. There is also nothing like immersing yourselves in the world by visiting Oga’s Cantina and trying a little blue milk.
There are two very unique and amazing experiences she might love as well. At
Savi’s Workshop, she could learn about the power of the force and build her very own custom lightsaber. At the
Droid Depot, she can build her own custom remote-controlled droid. My family and I have done both of these and had a great time.
Kate, I hope the force will be with you for your daughter's birthday, and that you have a magical vacation. If you have any further questions, please stop by, and my fellow panelists and I will be happy to assist you.
Till the Spire,
Robert
