We are gong on a very tight budget. We are wondering what the average counter service prices are and would anyone recommend certain places? Thanks again for all your very helpful tips!

    Hi Wendy!

I think that we are all having to tighten our purse strings these days!  The great news is that portions at Disney World are usually HUGE and can often be shared.  Have you looked into the new version of the Disney Dining Plan?  If you are buying a package, you can add on the Quick Service Dining Plan, which includes two counter service meals and two snacks per person per day.  Each person also receives a refillable mug that can be used at your resort.  If this doesn't sound like something you want to try, no problem!  I just thought that I would suggest it, as you can save up to 20% on your food this way.

You can usually count on a quick service meal to cost around $10; however, for complete menus AND prices on all counter service meals, please visit Allearsnet.com.  Simply click on "Dining," and then "The Menus."  It can be so helpful when planning your budget when you can see the prices right in front of you!

Some of my family's fave places to grab a quick bite are at Cosmic Ray's in the Magic Kingdom, Sunshine Season's Food Fare in Epcot, Toy Story Pizza Planet at Hollywood Studios and Flame Tree Barbecue at Animal Kingdom.  Might I also suggest eating breakfast in your room and bringing your own bottled water.  These two tips can save you tons of money!

    Much pixie dust,
