Hi Jennifer! Welcome back to planDisney!! We appreciate you sending us another question! Time to start packing your bags for your vacation in just three weeks at The Most Magical Place on Earth!
I can totally relate to your situation! Our family has also vacationed at Disney every year since our kids were little. High five to both of us, because we have raised them well! We used to be early risers to rope drop and now we are definitely team park closing! Our kids love to sleep in and have a leisurely start. I enjoy this too! In my experience, the crowds don't always tend to be as busy in the evening. Of course, this can depend on the time of year and the theme park. The time of your park arrival can have an impact on ride reservations, however, it also depends on the theme park and the attraction availability. For example, the most popular
Lightning Lane attractions tend to be booked the fastest, and availability is not guaranteed. If you are planning to utilize
Genie+, you will benefit from it the most when you are in a theme park all day. If you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel and you purchase Genie+, you can reserve your first Lighting Lane attraction at 7:00 a.m. If you end up choosing an attraction at a later time, you can always go back to sleep! This can be a benefit because you will have already secured an attraction to ride before you even arrive at the theme park.
Another tip I have when planning is that I make our family's
Disney Park Pass Reservations for
EPCOT on a day that will follow late-night plans because this park tends to open later than the other theme parks.
Wishing you and your family a relaxing and magical vacation that includes sleeping in and closing down the theme parks! If you have any additional questions before you arrive during
The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, please visit planDisney again!
Happy Planning!
