Hiya Linda! Welcome to planDisney!
Ah, the
Disney Skyliner, my favorite mode of transportation in all of the Walt Disney World Resort! My two little Mouseketeers insist on riding the Skyliner at least once each trip! Even if we don't visit the parks, it is like a fun-filled attraction of its own!
Great news, Linda. The short answer to your question is yes! But there are some nuances you should know about. First, you can take the Skyliner from
Disney's Art of Animation Resort to
EPCOT, but you'll have to hop out of your gondola and transfer to another at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. This shouldn't take long and on the bright side, it's an opportunity to ride in a different themed gondola. Maybe you'll even get your favorite character!
Once you arrive at EPCOT, you'll exit the Skyliner at the International Gateway Entrance to the park. This is the section just over the bridge past the France Pavilion and right before the United Kingdom Pavilion. To access the
Disney Monorail, you'll need to enter EPCOT, so valid theme park admission and theme park reservations will be necessary. If you already planned to spend some time in EPCOT before traveling over to
Chef Mickey's, then you're good to go! If you wanted to just switch modes of transportation without entering the park, that may prove to be more trouble than anticipated.
You'll then want to exit EPCOT through the main entrance near Spaceship Earth and follow the path to the Disney Monorail. Again, you will need to transfer into a different Monorail at the Transportation and Ticket Center, so you'll actually enjoy two Monorail rides. Hop on the Resorts Monorail at the Transportation and Ticket Center and your route will run directly through
Disney's Contemporary Resort, where you will exit to feast with Mickey and all his pals!
If this all proves to be too much for one day, you may also consider using the
Minnie Van Service connected by Lyft to transport you directly from Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Disney's Contemporary Resort for your meal. Though it isn't exactly a gondola in the sky, these comfortable, polka-dotted rides are a staple of the Walt Disney World Resort and even come equipped with car seats for the young Mouseketeers in your party!
Have a magical day,
Ashley
