Hiya, Valarie. Thank you for your Disney vacation planning question!
Your upcoming visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort and stay at
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is coming up soon, and I’m sure you are excited and filled with anticipation! The Resort’s trails, recreation activities, and being surrounded by Mother Nature are such a fun and unique way to experience Disney World!
Unfortunately, the golf carts you utilize at your resort cannot be driven to or through the various
Theme Parks. However, I have some suggestions for your Guests with mobility issues so they can enjoy their time in the parks with you. The first option is to
rent wheelchairs daily or for your entire stay (multi-day). Option two is to rent an
Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV)/Scooter, available daily on a first-come, first-served basis but must be returned before leaving the park. If you are park hopping, show your receipt at the next park, and you can continue your rental as long as an ECV is available. Option three is for Guests wanting an ECV for the duration of the stay. Disney does have a featured provider they recommend, found at the bottom of the ECV Rentals page, which will deliver the ECV to your resort and can be used throughout the Disney property. Most of the
complimentary transportation options from the resorts to parks will also be able to accommodate these scooters. Of these three options, I hope one will address your mobility concerns. If you have any additional questions, I recommend reviewing the
Accessibility at Walt Disney World Resort page for more information.
Valarie, have you explored the
Enchanting Extras Collection for your upcoming stay yet? Your resort features some pretty awesome options, such as Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides, an Archery Experience, and Pony Rides!
Let me know if you have any additional questions or would like more recommendations for your vacation. I would happily share some of my favorite dining spots or resort day activities with you and your group!
