Ahoy there, David, and welcome aboard planDisney!
Whew, looks like you asked this question just in time! We're just over 90 days from your sail date this July - there's no time to waste!
You're absolutely right that as a Gold
Castaway Club member, you'll definitely want to be sure to have your status linked to your reservation! Not only will you be able to sign up for
Port Adventures, but you'll also be able to book onboard fun like
beverage tastings,
adult-exclusive dining at Palo, and treatments at
Senses Spa & Salon, to name a few!
The best way to ensure your Castaway Club ID is linked to your cruise would fall under the category of "
things that can most easily be resolved by calling a crew member!" Unfortunately, there isn't currently a way to re-link this online. Now, recent hold times have been quite lengthy these days, so I'd try to call around 11 a.m. Eastern, which is when I've had the most success as of late. I know it's not exactly the "magic wand" fix we were hoping for, but rest assured, the crew members at Disney Cruise Line are doing their best to help each and every Guest!
Oh and one more thing: be sure you've made your final payment before your booking window opens, as well! While temporary policies have pushed the final payment date to as little as 60 days from your sail date, you must be paid-in-full before booking activities! Trust me, there's nothing worse than your booking window opening, and the first item of business is having to make your final payment - that's precious time you don't want to have to spend at midnight!
Well David, I hope that shines a little light into some of the last remaining to-do's as embarkation day approaches! Thank you so much for your question, and if any others bubble to the surface while you continue planning, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Fair winds, following seas, and short hold times!
Andrew
