I will be goingy to disney 10/2-10/11 and will be travling with 6yr and 1yr old. was wondering if getting the park hopper option was worth getting or would it just be too much of a hassel and waste of money to park hop with an infant? Any ideas?

    Laura:

I usually recommend that families of small children save their money and skip the Park Hopper option as the transfer time from one park to another can take as much as an hour and risks the patience and focus of younger children.  If you plan, just a little, you can use your time wisely each day and only need to go to one park per day, as there is PLENTY to do in each park, not to mention the fact that a one-year-old will limit your ability to move at a fast pace.

Because you'll be there for 9 days, however, you may want to consider spending your Park Hopper budget on the Water Parks & More option for your ticket.  This would allow you equal visits to the water parks, DisneyQuest and a round of golf to the number of days you purchase on your park ticket.  This may allow you to cut back on the number of days you purchase on your ticket and also give you many other options to explore instead of simply heading to another park that the Park Hopper Option will afford you.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
