Hi, when we go to WDW we're planning on doing at least a day or two at the water parks. I was just wondering if we can wear water shoes on the rides? I don't want to go without since I imagine the pavement gets a lot hotter than it does in Canada.

    Hi Sienna!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We love seeing our favorite guests back again and again!
My family loves visiting Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. We are always impressed with how clean the water parks are. We also think that the water parks are a great way to keep cool and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the Theme Parks. At Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, we always have a fun family time on Miss Adventure Falls. This 4-person raft takes you on a thrilling whitewater voyage. Disney’s Blizzard Beach has another exciting ride called Teamboat Springs. This water ride is one of the world’s longest group whitewater raft adventures, for up to 6 riders. This ride always seems to get our kids giggling.

As a New Yorker (hey neighbor), my feet are used to much more mild temperatures. Whenever we visit the water parks, we do wear water shoes. For most of the attractions and water slides, you will be able to keep your water shoes on. However, if, for some reason you are asked to remove your water shoes for any of the extreme water slides, you can hold them and put them back on as you exit the attraction!

I hope that you and your family enjoy the water parks as much as my family does! Wishing you the most magical time!
