when can we go to the water park with our type of ticket? does it have to be the same day as a theme park reservation or can it be a different day

Hiya Caitlin - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question! I see that you'll be arriving in just one week - how exciting! You've picked a great time to visit - not only will you be able to experience all the magic of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, but the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is also in full bloom!

There are a couple of different ticket options that include admission(s) to a water park, but both work similarly. If your ticket includes the Water Park and Sports Option OR the Park Hopper Plus Option, you are also eligible for visits to a water park or other available sports offering equal to the number of park days on your ticket.

For example, if you have a three-day park ticket with either option added on, you can visit theme park(s) on up to three days within the valid use window AND you will have up to three additional admissions to a water park or sports offering. These extra visits do not need to be used on the same days you visit theme parks (but they can be!) and are valid for the length of your ticket's valid use window. These add-ons are a fantastic value, especially for multi-day tickets! You can try taking a break in the middle of a theme park day to enjoy Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course, or spend a full day enjoying the waves and the surviving palm trees at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park!

I know you're going to have a magical trip - I hope this info helps! Let me know if any other questions pop up as you continue planning.
