Hiya, Alison!
Welcome to planDisney! This is such a great question. If you have booked a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, you can pay the balance through your
My Disney Experience account on the Walt Disney World website. If you do not have an account yet, Hakuna Matata! You can easily
create an account online in a few easy steps and link your upcoming hotel reservation. Once you have created your account, you can use the confirmation number for your visit to
link your reservation. This confirmation number will be in the email you received after booking your magical stay. To link your reservation through the website, select the
My Plans option from the My Disney Experience menu located at the top of the screen. You should see a blue hotel icon on this page. Click on the icon and select the
Link a Reservation option.
After you have created an account and linked your upcoming visit, you can process a payment online on that same
My Plans page. Below your Walt Disney World Resort hotel details will be your remaining balance, and a link to
Make a Payment. Choose this to proceed with making a payment in moments. If you do not see an option to make a payment on this page there may be a few reasons to consider.
- Payments can only be processed on the website. You cannot make a payment through the My Disney Experience app.
- If you booked your plans through a travel agency they will need to process payments on your behalf. You will not see this option on your account.
- If your upcoming stay is a "room only" reservation (hotel accommodations without tickets) you would have paid for the first night's stay when booking. The remaining balance for the rest of the trip will be due at check-in and charged to the card you have on file.
If you have created an account but are unable to link your upcoming stay or process a payment, you can reach out to a friendly Cast Member with
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations by phone. They will be able to assist you with any confirmation numbers you may need and can help you with processing payments. Keep in mind that the final balance for a Walt Disney World vacation package is due 30 days prior to check-in, so be sure to process all remaining payments by that date.
I hope your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
Tammy
