Hi, Can we go in between two parks all day long with a Park Hopper? Start in HS, hop to MK go back to HS? Can we book a virtual que for a second park while in the first park? Can we book virtual for Tron while at HS? Do we have to be in MK to book Tron?

Hey, howdy, hey, James! Welcome to planDisney - thanks so much for hopping by with your question about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! It sounds like you've got plans to visit two of the four theme parks in one day with your park hopper ticket, so let's get the park-hopping logistics squared away so you can make the most of your day at both Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios!

The great news, James, is that with the Park Hopper Option, you are welcome to hop back and forth to as many parks as many times throughout the day as you would like! With the recent reinstatement of all-day park hopping in 2024, you also no longer have to wait until a certain time to move freely between the parks! Depending on your ticket type, the only restriction is if you have a ticket that requires you to make a theme park reservation; if this is the case, you will have to tap into your first, reserved park before you will be able to enter a second (or third, or fourth!) park for the day.

As far as joining a Virtual Queue, you are eligible to join at 7 AM for any theme park for which you have eligible admission. So with your park hopper ticket, you will be eligible to join the virtual queue for either TRON Lightcyle/Run or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at that time. Keep in mind that guests may only hold one attraction virtual queue at a time. To join the 7 AM queue, you do not have to be inside of any theme park; you can do it from anywhere (even your comfy resort bed if you're not an early riser!) If you are not successful in securing a boarding group at 7 AM, you can try again at 1 PM, but you will need to be inside the theme park at that time to be eligible.

James, to make your park hopping even easier, Disney provides complimentary bus transportation between the theme parks starting at 10 AM each day. To hop from Magic Kingdom to Hollywood Studios, you will find the park-hopping bus at the bus stop near the entrance to the park where the resort buses pick up and drop off. Be sure to factor in travel time between the parks as you plan your day!

One final recommendation I'd love to share is that you can utilize the Disney Genie+ service while park hopping! We did this on a recent visit, making afternoon selections for attractions in Hollywood Studios while we enjoyed our morning at Magic Kingdom. When we arrived to our second park, we had stacked several attractions for lightning lane entrances, which allowed us to maximize our time before heading back to Magic Kingdom for the Happily Ever After fireworks show! With a little planning and pixie dust, you can make your day even more magical with the Genie!

James, I hope this has been helpful and I hope you have an amazing day hopping from park to park and chasing magic! Come on back if we can help with anything else!

    See you real soon,
