want to go straight from the airport to the park but dont need a rental car whats the best way to get our luggage to the hotel (port orleans) or any storage spots big enough for LARGE luggage at WDW?

Hiya Paul - welcome to planDisney!

I'm so glad you found us and decided to stop by with a question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations! I'm excited to hEAR about your upcoming vacation this summer - it's a great time to visit! The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration has pixie dust floating around every corner with new attractions, entertainment, food, and so much more!

Here at planDisney, we LOVE to plan, and that includes transportation to and from the Walt Disney World Resort. I can also understand your desire to maximize your time in the Theme Parks as soon as you arrive in Orlando! Currently, there are not any services offered directly through Disney to move only your luggage to your Resort, though you may search online and find third-party providers offering some of these services. The great news is that the Bell Services team at your Resort will gladly store your luggage for you until your room is ready! The only catch is that you'll need to drop it off with them upon your arrival.

My best advice is to find the transportation option that works best for your crew, and have it take you directly to your Resort from the airport. You'll only need to spend a few minutes passing your luggage off to Bell Services, and then can take complimentary bus transportation directly from Disney's Port Orleans Resort to the Theme Park of your choosing.

There are many transportation options out there, and while I personally prefer to rent a car during my Walt Disney World trips, you could consider using a ride share service such as Lyft or a motorcoach service such as Mears Connect. If you're really trying to save time, you may want to explore booking a private car service. You may be able to arrange for them to briefly stop at your Resort and then take you directly to the Theme Park so you don't need to wait for a bus!

I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning. Please let me know if I can help answer any other questions!
