How would I go about requesting a 5th Sleeper room for our upcoming family trip from March 1st-March 6th 2027? It didn't look like the room option was available, we are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort and we are a family of 3, standard location.

    Hi Alicia,

Welcome to planDisney! I am so happy to hear that you’ve chosen Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort as your home base for your next trip to Walt Disney World. Having stayed at this resort with my family as a tween, Caribbean Beach Resort holds a special place in my heart. With its vibrant colors, lush landscapes calypso rhythms, and beach vibes I am certain that this resort will hold a special place in yours, too.

One very special thing about Caribbean Beach is the fact that it is one of two resorts in the moderate category with 5th sleeper rooms. The 5th sleeper bed is a small pull-down Murphy bed that can accommodate most young children. It’s a super cute and fun place for littles to sleep during their magical vacation. This room type can be found throughout the resort in each section.

Since yours is a party of 3, you likely won’t automatically be placed in a 5th sleeper room and I can totally understand you not wanting to chance it if you really want one. Disney does allow you to make room requests, and you have two options to do so. Your first option is to make the request during the mobile check-in process. At 60 days prior to your arrival, Disney’s Direct-to-Room Service will become available to you within the My Disney Experience app. This feature will allow you to check into your reservation and make certain special requests before you arrive. Your other option would be to contact the Disney Resort reservations line to add this request to your reservation. A friendly cast member will be happy to do this for you. Room requests are not guaranteed and are always subject to availability. The option to call might be your best bet since you can do that at any time.

During your stay, be sure to make time for relaxation at your resort. Caribbean Beach will really feel like you’ve been transported to the Caribbean, giving you the feeling of having two vacations in one. Taking a midday break from the parks to relax on the beach is my idea of a great time. Your resort’s proximity to the Disney Skyliner makes it super easy for you to do that on your Hollywood Studios and EPCOT days. If you’re looking for fun, the Fuentes del Morro pool always has fun activities happening in the afternoon. When your bellies start rumbling, you have several options to satisfy every need right at your resort. I’ve enjoyed the variety of options available at Centertown Market recently - you can find everything there from burgers and pizza to mango-glazed salmon and a delicious Cuban sandwich. There’s something for everyone at this location.

Alicia, I hope you’re having a ball planning for your 2027 Disney World visit. I’ve always said that I find the planning and preparation almost as much fun as the actual vacation. If you need any additional help figuring things out for your trip, please come back and see us here at planDisney again. We all love the thrill of planning and we are happy to help. We’ll see ya real soon!
