How do you go about renting a golf cart to get around the Fort Wilderness Campsites? I've read that its a good thing to do, otherwise its quite a walk to everything.

Hey there Christina, and thanks for stopping by to see us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I think going by golf cart is by far the best way to get around Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. The grounds of this resort are massive, with so many things to see and do, and honestly, there's no way most of us would be able to walk between all of the activities and amenities offered there. You do have the option of the internal bus system to get from Point A to Point B, but I love tooling around the Fort in our own little set of wheels.

Reserving a golf cart couldn't be easier. You can call ahead and make all of your arrangements up to a year in advance. I suggest making the reservation as soon as you have your vacation dates nailed down, as the carts can sell out.

Here's everything you need to know about renting a golf cart for your visit to Fort Wilderness.

I hope this helps with your planning, Christina. Please come see us again if you have any more questions.

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
